Recommended Use Cases
The Auto-Edit Assistant (hereafter referred to as the Edit Assistant) is especially useful for completing manuals based on unfinished drafts or existing manuals, and for improving their content.
For example, in situations like these
- You want to finish a draft you've been working on
- You want to improve a manual you've already created
- You want to create a variation of an existing manual
- You want to easily create a manual based on images or notes you have on hand
These will be explained in detail in "Use Case Examples by Scenario."
Use Case Examples by Scenario
1. Finishing a manual you've been working on
Using a draft generated by Teachme AI as a base to polish it into a more focused manual
Teachme AI's manual creation support feature (*) is extremely useful for converting videos of work or PDFs into manual format, but in some cases, editing after generation is necessary to match the creator's intended expression.
With the Edit Assistant, you can efficiently refine the generated draft by giving instructions such as "The key points of this task are..." or "Standardize the wording of ◯◯ to △△," and produce a high-quality manual that captures the points you want to convey.
* Includes features such as semi-automatic generation from video and manual draft generation from PDF.
2. Improving a manual you've already created
Turning a manual with lengthy descriptions into a simple structure that's understandable just by reading the step titles
Even a thorough and well-written manual can take a long time to read or end up being skimmed over.
In such cases, the following type of instruction is recommended.
Rewrite so that it can be understood just by reading the titles, and delete the description text.
This allows you to condense the title and description of each step into a more compact format.
It is also effective when creating manuals to be viewed in Teachme Player, which offers text-to-speech functionality.
3. Creating a variation from an existing manual
Creating a manual for a related or similar task
For example, if you have a manual for "assembling" photography equipment, try duplicating it and entering the following instruction.
Reverse the order and create a manual for putting equipment away.
A draft manual will be created with the assembly steps arranged in reverse order.
Not only will the order of the steps be reversed, but descriptions will also be rewritten for the storage/cleanup procedure — for example, "Attach the cover" → "Remove the cover" — so with just a few minor adjustments, you can complete a manual for putting equipment away.
By making use of existing manuals, you can efficiently expand your manual library.
4. Easily creating a manual from images or notes you have on hand
Handing all your information to the Edit Assistant and having it organized into manual format
When you have all the materials needed to create a manual, it is recommended to start with the following approach.
-
Start by handing over all the text you have
The Edit Assistant excels at processing and structuring large amounts of text, and can organize and convert a large amount of information into a manual. For example, if you have any of the following, try sending them via chat first.
- Rough drafts or disorganized notes that haven't been proofread
- Long pieces of text such as product support pages -
Upload photos you've already taken to the "Image Assignment" tab, then start by providing only the title of the procedure you want to create
When images are uploaded, the Edit Assistant automatically analyzes their content.
If you already have photos or screenshots of a series of work steps, all you need to do is provide the title of the procedure you want to create,
and the assistant will be able to draft a manual based on the content of the images.
If you provide only minimal information or instructions — such as "How to perform an inspection" or "How to close out the register" — the result tends to be a generic manual with few specific details. Providing as much existing information as possible will make the creation process smoother.
If you have limited information to provide, please use the proposed manual as a base and refine it through chat instructions or direct editing.
