Web Browser and Mobile app
The language setting of the browser differs depending on whether the language setting is Japanese or non-Japanese.
|
If your browser's language setting is Japanese | If your browser's language setting is non-Japanese |
A full-width character | 1 character e.g. マニュアル: 5 characters |
2 characters e.g.マニュアル: 10 characters |
half-width character such as alphanumeric characters except for Japanese, Chinese, and Korean | 0.5 characters(*) e.g. manual: 3 characters |
1 character e.g. manual: 6 characters |
Line breaks | 0.5 characters (*) | 1 character |
*The 0.5 is rounded down from the display on the screen that counts the number of characters entered (number of characters entered / upper limit).
For example, if 1.5 characters are entered, the number of characters entered will be displayed as "2".
There is no difference in the number of characters that can be entered depending on the language setting of the browser.
If the browser language setting is other than Japanese, the maximum number of characters that can be entered is displayed in double.
Notes
・In some languages, such as Thai, that use tone letter and combinations of vowels and consonants, even half-width character may be counted as 1 to 1.5 characters when the language setting is Japanese, and 2 to 3 characters when the language setting is non-Japanese.
e.g.”ที่” (tone letter + vowels + consonants)=1.5 characters if language setting is Japanese, 3 characters if language setting is non-Japanese
・In Vietnamese, 1 character with a tone letter is treated as 0.5 character if the language setting is Japanese, and 1 character if the language setting is non-Japanese.
・On some screens, such as comments, messages in the task function, revision history, and memo on IP restriction, half-width character and tone letter are treated as 1 character when the language setting is Japanese, and 2 characters when the setting is non-Japanese.

・In some screens, such as comments, messages in task functions, and revision history, half-width characters and tone letter are also counted as 1.
