Purpose of This Feature
In real-world settings, simply "reading a manual" can itself be a barrier.
- Reading text can be burdensome — some people prefer to listen while working with their hands rather than following along with their eyes.
- Even with a translation in their native language, some people find it easier to understand by listening rather than reading.
- When hands are occupied, there is no opportunity to turn pages.
Even in these situations, the text-to-speech feature allows users to make full use of the manual.
Feature Details
Text-to-Speech
The AI voice reads aloud in the following order: cover → step title → description → custom fields → video subtitles.
Additionally, if a video is registered on the cover or a step, video playback and subtitle narration begin simultaneously after the custom fields are read aloud.
If a video has both subtitles and audio, the video's audio will not play while the subtitles are being read aloud.
If you find it distracting that the video's audio starts partway through after the subtitle narration ends, please set the video audio to mute.

Auto Page Advance While Reading Aloud
After the narration is complete or the video ends, the system automatically advances to the next step.

Supports 26 languages and reads aloud in the language selected on the slideshow screen.

Playback Speed Setting
You can set the reading speed in 7 steps ranging from 0.5x to 2x.
The selected speed is saved in the browser and will be used the next time as well.

Notes
- This feature uses AI.
- The language used for narration depends on the language set in the auto-translation feature, as well as the browser's language settings, among other factors.
Note that language detection is performed for each section that is read aloud.
If you are not using the auto-translation feature, it is recommended to ensure that the manual's original language matches the browser's language setting. - Due to system specifications, the text-to-speech feature is not available in the following cases:
- When viewing an externally published manual without being logged in
- While viewing a draft preview
- When a manual is displayed within a task
- When a manual is displayed during training
- When displayed as an embed on another website
