Purpose of This Feature
In the field, "reading a manual" itself can be a hurdle in certain situations.
- Reading text is burdensome. Some people prefer to listen while working with their hands rather than following along with their eyes.
- Even when translated into their native language, some people find it easier to understand by listening than by reading.
- Their hands are occupied and they have no time to turn pages.
The read-aloud feature allows users to make use of manuals even in these situations.
Feature Details
Read Aloud
The AI voice reads aloud in the following order: cover → Step Title → description → custom fields → video subtitles.
Additionally, if a video is registered on the cover or a Step, video playback and subtitle read-aloud will start simultaneously after the custom fields have been read out.
If the video has both subtitles and audio, the video's audio will not play while the subtitles are being read aloud.
If you find it distracting that the video audio starts partway through after the subtitle read-aloud, please set the video audio to mute.

Auto Page Advance While Reading Aloud
After the read-aloud is complete or the video ends, the system automatically advances to the next Step.

Supports 26 languages and reads aloud in the language selected on the slideshow screen.

Speed Setting
You can set the read-aloud Speed in 7 levels from 0.5x to 2x.
The specified Speed is saved in the Browser and will be used at the same Speed next time.

Notes
- This feature uses AI.
- The language used for read-aloud depends on the language set in the automatic translation feature as well as the Browser's language settings, etc.
Note that language detection is performed for each read-aloud segment.
If you are not using the automatic translation feature, it is recommended to ensure that the manual's original language matches the Browser's language settings. - Due to system specifications, the read-aloud feature is not available in the following cases:
- When viewing an externally published manual without being logged in
- During draft Preview display
- When displaying a manual within a task
- When displaying a manual during Training
- When displayed embedded in another site
