Types of search systems
Exact match search
Display search results that exactly match the character string entered as a search keyword.
Partial match search
Display search results that contain the character string entered as a search keyword.
Index search
Display search results where the character string entered as a search keyword exactly matches the automatically created index.
The index is a list created by the system through automatic analysis of main terms contained in "cover title," "cover description," "step title," "step description," "search tags," "custom field names and input values of template function," "subtitles in videos," and "marking text in images and videos" within the manual.
For English: Create indexes by recognizing space-separated words.
For Japanese: Morphological analysis is performed on sentences composed of terms that include inflected forms.
For example, "communicates clearly" is divided and indexed into words such as "communicate" and "clear."

Notes
- Operations on indexed character strings or registration of indexes for terms not contained in manuals can not be performed
- Particles or articles that can not stand alone, or words that are too general may not be indexed (e.g., "a," "an," "the," "of," "for," "and," "or")
- For English, text may not be indexed correctly without word separators (e.g., "StandardOperationsProcedure")
- Text in images and videos (markings and subtitles) is not subject to search
