About Group IP Restrictions and Folder IP Restrictions

Group IP Restrictions

Folder IP Restrictions

This feature allows users to access the target Folder (and Manuals within the Folder) only when accessing Teachme Biz from an authorized current IP address.

  • Group administrators, Sub-administrators, Folder administrators, and Folder sub-administrators are all subject to Folder IP Restrictions.
Even administrators will not be able to see the Folder if they access Teachme Biz from an unauthorized current IP address.
  • It is not possible to exclude specific users or administrators from the restrictions.
  • The Folder IP Restrictions feature for Folders released outside is no longer available for new subscriptions.

Group IP Restrictions and Folders Released Outside

When using Group IP Restrictions, whether viewing a Folder released outside is restricted depends on whether the user is logged into Teachme Biz.

■ When viewing while logged in
As with Internal folders, Group IP Restrictions apply.
Users cannot view Folders released outside while logged in from an unauthorized current IP address.
The treatment of Group administrators and Sub-administrators is the same as described in "Group IP Restrictions" above.

■ When viewing without logging in
Group IP Restrictions do not apply.
※ If you are using the Folder IP Restrictions feature for Folders released outside (no longer available for new subscriptions), Group IP Restrictions or Folder IP Restrictions may still apply when viewing without logging in, depending on the Folder settings.

Types of IP addresses that can be registered

You can Register IP addresses in IPv4 format as current IP addresses.
Registration using CIDR notation is also supported.

Local IP addresses and IPv6 format IP addresses cannot be registered.

[Note]
If you enter 0 in the last octet (4th octet), all consecutive trailing 0s will be converted to * and saved.

 198.xxx.0.0 → 198.xxx.*.* (consecutive trailing 0s are converted to *)
