What is the IP Restriction Feature?

This feature restricts access to Teachme Biz from unregistered IP addresses.
If you are not familiar with IP addresses or communication restrictions, please consult with your company's IT department before using this feature.

Group IP Restriction and Folder IP Restriction Features

Group IP Restriction Feature

 This feature allows users to log in to a group only when accessing Teachme Biz using authorized global IP addresses.

  • Group administrators and sub-administrators are excluded from group IP restrictions.
  • If you want to include group administrators and sub-administrators in access restrictions, you need to apply for the "IP Restriction Extension Feature" separately.

Folder IP Restriction Feature

 This feature allows access to target folders (and manuals within those folders) only when accessing Teachme Biz using authorized global IP addresses.

  • Group administrators, sub-administrators, folder administrators, and sub-administrators are also subject to folder IP restrictions.
    Even as an administrator, the folder will not be displayed if you access Teachme Biz using an unauthorized global IP address.
  • Specific users or administrators cannot be excluded from the restrictions.
  • Folder IP restriction features for externally shared folders are no longer offered to new users.

Types of IP Addresses That Can Be Registered

You can register global IP addresses in IPv4 format.
Registration using CIDR notation is also possible.

Local IP addresses or IPv6 format IP addresses cannot be registered.

When entering 0 at the end (fourth octet), all consecutive zeros from the end are converted to * when saved.

 ■ Conversion examples
 198.xxx.xxx.0→198.xxx.xxx.* (trailing 0 is converted to *)
 198.xxx.0.0→198.xxx.*.* (consecutive zeros from the end are converted to *)
 198.0.xxx.0→198.0.xxx.* (zeros not consecutive from the end are not converted)
