Setting "search tags" provides the following two benefits.
Improved searchability when using keyword search
Setting "search tags" allows manuals to be found even with keywords that are not included in the title or description.
If there is a possibility that users may search using variations in spelling or terminology as shown below, we recommend registering those keywords in "search tags" in advance.
- Example 1: Spelling variations (Strawberry, strawberry, STRAWBERRY)
If the manual consistently uses one specific spelling, manuals will not appear in search results when users search using alternative spellings, unless search tags are configured.
- Example 2: Terminology variations (smartphone, cell phone, iPhone)
If the manual consistently uses "smartphone," manuals will not appear in search results when users search for "cell phone," "mobile phone," or "iPhone," unless search tags are configured.
Displaying a list of manuals with the same tag
Clicking a search tag from the manual viewing screen displays a list of manuals that have the same search tag added.
