What can and cannot be restored after deletion

2026-11-02 14:53:18 UTC 2026-11-02 16:35:51 UTC

Only Manuals that have a Backup can be restored after deletion.
Items other than Manuals, such as Folders, portal pages, users, and Teams, cannot be restored once deleted.
※ The operators of Teachme Biz are also unable to restore deleted data.

What can be restored

Manual

If a Backup exists, it can be restored from the Backup screen.
Manuals without a Backup cannot be restored.
Deleted Manuals can be restored by the Group administrator, Group sub-administrator, and the Owner of the Manual (the Owner at the time the last Backup was taken).

A restored Manual will be a newly created Manual based on the Backup, and its URL will differ from the original Manual's URL.
Since the Edit History of a Manual is deleted along with the Manual itself, a deleted Manual cannot be restored from the Edit History.

What cannot be restored

Folder

Deleting a Folder also deletes the Sub-folders inside it.
Manuals within the Folder are not deleted and are moved to the Default Folder.
If the Approval workflow is ON for the Default Folder, any Currently released Manuals will become Unreleased, and approval will be required to release them again.
Any pending approval requests for moved Manuals will be withdrawn.
Folder settings such as Users joined, Teams Joined, and IP Restrictions cannot be restored.

Before deleting

For Manuals you simply won't be using for a while, setting them to "Unrelease" or "Archive" instead of deleting them allows you to revert them later.
When deleting a Manual, we recommend taking a manual Backup beforehand just to be safe.
