No.
Under the current specifications, a "recipient" group that is already receiving a share from another group cannot share folders to a different group as a "source" group.
Details and Specifications
Folder sharing between groups is managed in units called "inter-group sharing sets."
Due to the following two restrictions, recipient groups are prevented from sharing folders to new groups.
- Each group can belong to only "one" sharing set
A single group (contract) cannot belong to multiple sharing sets at the same time.
If a group is already participating in a sharing set as a "recipient," a new set cannot be created with that group as the "source."
- Only the "source" group can provide folders
The permission to share folders is granted exclusively to the "source" group that created the sharing set.
Groups participating as recipients do not have permission to share folders.
Example of How This Works
When Group A acts as the "source" and creates a sharing set, and Group B participates as the "recipient"
| Sharing Direction / Action | Allowed | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Sharing from Group A to Group B | ✓ | Because Group A is the source group |
| Sharing from Group B to another group | - | Because Group B is already a member of the sharing set as a recipient |
| Group B creating a new sharing set | - | Because a single group cannot belong to multiple sharing sets |
Due to the above restrictions, a group that is already a recipient cannot become a source group.
If you wish to share folders with another group, please first ask the "source" group to remove your group from the sharing set. Once removed from the sharing set, you will be able to create a new sharing set as a source group.
