What is "Use external browser for Single Sign-On in mobile app"?

2026-04-22 01:41:28 UTC 2026-10-15 10:30:06 UTC

Enabling this item switches the browser used for SSO login in the mobile app from "the browser within the Teachme Biz app" to "the device's default browser (such as Chrome or Safari)."

If you have restricted the authentication browser to an external browser using Microsoft Intune or similar, authentication may not complete in the in-app browser, preventing login.
In that case, please enable this setting.

Note that this does not affect SSO login via the web browser version (PC) or mobile browser.

Notes for the iOS app

In the iOS app, regardless of this setting, the IdP authentication screen is displayed using Safari's mechanism.
This also applies even if you have changed the device's default browser to Microsoft Edge or another browser.
Therefore, if Safari-based authentication is not permitted by conditional access or similar policies on the IdP side, SSO login from the iOS app will not be possible.

In this case, please address the issue using one of the following methods:
- On the IdP side, allow authentication from Safari when using SSO to access Teachme Biz
- Instead of using the iOS app, access Teachme Biz (mobile browser version) from a browser that is permitted for authentication
※ The Safari mechanism referred to here is "ASWebAuthenticationSession" in iOS.
