Please note that groups under a plan for the Local Government Wide Area Network (LGWAN) used within Japan cannot be configured as either a source or destination group, and therefore cannot use this feature.
Terminology and Specifications
Folder Sharing Source Group
- A group that can share manuals within its own group to another group on a per-folder basis
- Can create cross-group shared sets
- Can invite destination groups to a cross-group shared set to perform folder sharing
Folder Sharing Destination Group
- A group that, by receiving a share, becomes able to view manuals in the source group's folders
- Can receive an invitation from the source group and join a cross-group shared set
Cross-Group Shared Set
- A grouping of one source group and one or more destination groups
- Creating a cross-group shared set is what first enables the source group to perform folder sharing
- Once a group joins one cross-group shared set, it cannot join a different cross-group shared set
Folder Administrator of the Destination Group
- The folder administrator of the source group is automatically assigned. This cannot be changed to another user
- Although this role exists as a permission in the destination group, the following specifications mean that no interference with the destination group is possible
- Logging in to the destination group is not possible
- Changing folder settings in the destination group (such as adding viewers or changing the folder sub-administrator) is not possible
Folder Sub-Administrator of the Destination Group
- A permission that allows adding viewers to a shared folder and adding, changing, or removing folder sub-administrators
- Immediately after receiving an invitation, the group administrator of the destination group is designated
