Recommended Use Cases
The Auto Editing Assistant (hereafter, Editing Assistant) is especially useful when you want to complete a manual based on a draft in progress or an existing manual, or when you want to improve its content.
For example, in situations like these
- You want to finish a draft that is still in progress
- You want to improve a manual you have already created
- You want to create a variation based on an existing manual
- You want to easily create a manual based on images or notes you have on hand
These are explained in detail under "Use Case Examples by Scenario."
Use Case Examples by Scenario
1. Finishing a manual that is still in progress
Using a draft generated by Teachme AI as a base to create a more focused, polished manual
Teachme AI's manual creation support features (see note) are extremely useful for converting videos of work processes or PDFs into manual format, but in some cases editing after generation is necessary to achieve the expression the creator intended.
With the Editing Assistant, you can efficiently refine the generated draft by giving instructions such as "The key points of this task are..." or "Standardize the wording of ◯◯ to △△," and produce a high-quality manual that clearly conveys the key points you want to communicate.
Note: Includes features such as semi-automatic generation from video and manual draft generation from PDF.
2. Improving a manual you have already created
Simplifying a manual with lengthy descriptions so that reading just the step titles is enough to understand it
Even a thorough and easy-to-understand manual can take a long time to read, or readers may end up skimming it.
In such cases, the following type of instruction is recommended.
Rewrite the titles so they are self-explanatory, and delete the description text
This allows you to condense the title and description of each step into a compact format.
It is also effective when creating manuals to be viewed with Teachme Player, which performs text-to-speech playback.
3. Creating a variation based on an existing manual
Creating a manual for a related or similar task
For example, if you have a manual for "assembling" photography equipment, try duplicating it and entering the following instruction.
Reverse the order to create a manual for putting equipment away
A draft manual with the assembly steps listed in reverse order will be created.
Not only will the order of the steps be reversed, but descriptions will also be rewritten for the storage/put-away procedure — for example, "Attach the cover" → "Remove the cover" — so with just a few minor adjustments you can complete a manual for putting equipment away.
You can efficiently expand your manual library by making use of existing manuals.
4. Easily creating a manual based on images or notes you have on hand
Handing all the information to the Editing Assistant to have it organized into manual format
When you already have the materials needed to create a manual, we recommend starting with the following approach.
-
Start by handing over all the text you have
The Editing Assistant excels at processing and structuring large amounts of text, and even when given a lot of information, it can organize and convert it into a manual. For example, if you have any of the following, try sending them in the chat first.
- Rough, unpolished text or scattered notes you jotted down quickly
- Long text such as a product support page -
Upload photos you have already taken to the "Image Assignment" tab, then start by providing just the title of the procedure guide
When images are uploaded, the Editing Assistant automatically analyzes their content.
If you already have photos or screenshots of a series of work steps, all you need to do is provide the title of the procedure guide you want to create,
and it will be able to build a manual based on the content of the images.
If you provide only minimal information or instructions — such as "How to perform an inspection" or "How to close out the register" — the result tends to be a generic manual with few specific details. Therefore, sharing as much information as you already have will make the creation process smoother.
If you have little information to provide, use the suggested manual as a base and refine it through chat instructions or direct editing.
