The template feature allows you to set custom fields that are required for manual covers and steps.
Editors can call up the most suitable template for the purpose and type of manual they want to create.

Feature Limits

Template Creation Limit

  • Up to 50 templates
    ※Archived templates are not included in this count.

Custom Field Limit per Template

  • Cover: Up to 10 fields
  • Steps: Up to 5 fields

Character Limit per Custom Field

  • Up to 100 full-width characters (200 half-width characters) per custom field

How to Use

Enabling/Disabling the Template Feature

The template feature can be toggled on or off per folder.
When enabled, it applies to the specified folder and all subfolders beneath it.

You can create templates that combine custom fields required for manual covers and steps.

Template Types

Templates can be created in the following three patterns.

  • Set custom fields on the cover only
  • Set custom fields on steps only
  • Set custom fields on both the cover and steps

Notes

The following operations are not supported. Please review carefully before publishing a template.

  • Editing custom fields while a template is published
  • Reverting a template that has been applied to a manual at least once back to draft status

Created templates can be applied not only when creating a new manual, but also to existing manuals after the fact.

For manuals that already have custom fields added, you can select specific custom fields and replace them individually.

Notes

  • Templates cannot be used in folders where the template feature is set to OFF.
  • All templates published within the group are available for use.
  • Filling in custom fields is required. Manuals cannot be published with custom fields left blank.

About Creating and Managing Templates

Question Answer
1 Can templates be deleted or archived? Yes.
Templates in draft status can be deleted, and published templates can be archived.
2 Can I save a template as a draft when creating it? Yes.
You can save a draft. Auto-save is not supported, so please save manually.
3 Can I edit custom fields after a template has been published? No.
Editing is only possible while the template is in draft status.
If the template has not yet been applied to a manual, you can revert a published template to draft in order to edit it.
4 In what order are created templates displayed? They are displayed in order from oldest to newest creation date.
5 Is it possible to have a template automatically applied when creating a manual? No.
A template must be selected each time a manual is created or edited.
6 Is it possible to restrict template publication to specific users or teams? No.
In folders where the template feature is ON, all editors within that folder can use the templates. Restricting access to specific users or teams is not possible.
7 I cannot revert a published template to draft. Why? If a template has been applied to a manual even once, it cannot be reverted to draft status.

1 Can a template be applied to a manual that has already been created? Yes.
Templates can be applied to manuals that have already been created and published.
2 Can the template applied to a manual be changed or removed? Yes.
Both changing and removing a template are possible.
3 What happens when I view or edit a manual created with a template from the mobile app?

Viewing
- Custom fields can only be viewed when connected to a network.
- Custom fields cannot be viewed when browsing bookmarked manuals in an offline environment.

Editing
- Editing custom fields is not supported.

4 What happens if I move a manual created with a template to a folder where the template feature is OFF? Regardless of the destination folder's settings, the applied template and the content entered in the custom fields will be retained.

However, the following applies for editing after the folder move:

6 Can a template be used when generating a manual with AI? No.
Templates cannot be applied during AI draft generation.
Please apply a template to the generated draft and manually fill in the custom fields.
7 Can covers or steps with an applied template be added to another manual using the clipboard feature? Registering to the clipboard and creating steps from the clipboard are possible, but the template's custom fields will not be carried over.
The clipboard operation applies to the step title, description, and images only.
