Windows Desktop App Discontinuation Notice | February 13, 2026

2025-06-25 08:28:17 UTC 2026-02-16 01:49:43 UTC

Thank you very much for using Teachme Biz.
We would like to inform you about the discontinuation of the Windows desktop application.

Overview

What is the Windows desktop application?

It is a Windows-exclusive application that provides only the manual creation and editing functions.

If you have an application called "Teachme Biz" installed on your PC, rather than using the web browser version in Chrome or Edge, that is the Windows desktop application.

Background of discontinuation

As of March 2021, we stopped developing new features for the Windows desktop application and have been recommending the web browser version since then.

Many customers have already been using the web browser version, and with the release of the new capture feature on April 14, 2025,
the web browser version alone can now provide sufficient editing capabilities, which is why we have decided to discontinue the Windows desktop application.

Schedule

  • Target: Windows desktop application
  • End date: February 13, 2026
  • Recommended migration deadline: Please migrate to the web browser version by the end of December 2025

Preparation before migration

Only if you use the clipboard, please check the following.

How to migrate clipboard content

Clipboard content does not synchronize between the Windows desktop application and the web browser version.
If you want to continue using steps registered in your clipboard, please migrate to the web browser version using the following method:

  1. Create a draft manual in the Windows desktop application
  2. Register all clipboard steps to the manual
  3. Open the draft in the web browser version and re-register the steps to the clipboard
