Notice of Discontinuation of Windows Desktop App │ Scheduled for Early January 2026

2025-06-25 08:28:17 UTC 2025-12-25 10:01:18 UTC

Thank you very much for using Teachme Biz.
We would like to inform you that the Windows Desktop App will be discontinued in early January 2026.

Overview

What is the Windows Desktop App?

This is a Windows-only app that provides only the manual creation and editing functions.

If you are using the “Teachme Biz” app installed on your PC instead of the web browser version used with Chrome or Edge,
that is the Windows Desktop App.

Background of the discontinuation

As of March 2021, development of new features for the Windows Desktop App has ended, and we have been recommending the use of the web browser version.

Many customers have already switched to the web browser version, and with the release of the new capture function on April 14, 2025,
the web browser version alone now provides sufficient editing features, so we have decided to discontinue the Windows Desktop App.

Schedule

  • Target: Windows Desktop App
  • End date: Early January 2026
  • Recommended migration deadline: Please migrate to the web browser version by the end of December 2025.

How to migrate the clipboard

The clipboard contents are not synchronized between the Windows Desktop App and the web browser version.
If you wish to continue using steps registered in the clipboard, please migrate them to the web browser version using the following method.

  1. Create a draft manual in the DTA
  2. Register all clipboard steps to the manual
  3. Open the draft in the web browser version and register the steps again to the clipboard
