Single Sign-On for Mobile App Will Be Unified to Login via External Browser | Scheduled for January 2027 and Later

Thank you for using Teachme Biz.
We will be standardizing the browser used for Single Sign-On (SSO) login in the mobile app to the external browser (the device's default browser).

Overview

  • From January 2027 onwards, we plan to discontinue Single Sign-On using the in-app browser in the mobile app, and will only support login via external browser
  • In preparation for this, from mid-November 2026 onwards, we will update the Group Settings for groups that have "Use external browser for Single Sign-On in mobile app" disabled, changing it to enabled on our end
  • Even after the setting change, this item will remain on the Group Settings screen until the feature is discontinued. If you are unable to log in with the external browser, the Group administrator or Group sub-administrator can revert the setting to disabled themselves

Background

  • The practice of restricting the browser used for authentication to the device's default browser—such as with Microsoft Intune—is becoming more widespread. In such environments, authentication cannot be completed using the in-app browser, making login impossible
  • The method of using the device's default browser for login from the app is becoming widely adopted as the standard approach from the perspective of security and convenience

To ensure that Single Sign-On continues to be available across a variety of authentication environments, we will be standardizing login to use the external browser.

FAQ

Question Answer
1 How can I check which browser is currently being used in my Group? Please check "Use external browser for Single Sign-On in mobile app" in Group Settings. If the checkbox is checked, login is using the external browser; if it is not checked, login is using the in-app browser. If it is not checked, your group is subject to the setting change in ①.
2 What should I do if I am unable to log in via the external browser after the setting change in ①? The Group administrator or Group sub-administrator can uncheck "Use external browser for Single Sign-On in mobile app" in Group Settings to revert to login via the in-app browser. After the discontinuation in ②, login via the in-app browser will no longer be available, so please ensure that you have an environment in which you can log in via external browser before then. If you have any questions, please Contact our support desk.
3 Is a mobile app update required? No update is required at either the time of the setting change in ① or the discontinuation in ②. The login screen will open in the external browser using the mobile app you are currently using.
