  • Select any template when creating or editing manuals
  • Template usage can be enabled/disabled on a folder-by-folder basis

Purpose of Feature Addition

Using templates according to manual content and purpose prevents omissions of required content and enables more efficient manual creation than before.
Sharing a unified format maintains consistent quality regardless of the manual creator's skill level.

Template Function ON/OFF

The template function can be enabled/disabled on a folder-by-folder basis.
When enabled, it applies to all content within that folder and all sub-folders.

Types of Templates That Can Be Created

Templates can be created in the following 3 patterns.

  • Add fields to cover only
  • Add fields to steps only
  • Add fields to both cover and steps

Template creation limit

  • Up to 50

Upper Limit of Custom Fields Per Template

  • Cover: Up to 10 fields
  • Steps: Up to 5 fields

Precautions

At the time of release, the template function can not perform the following operations.
Please thoroughly verify before publishing templates.

  • Delete published templates
  • Edit custom fields after publication

  • Users with edit permissions for folders where the template function is enabled

* All templates published in the group can be used

About Custom Field Input

  • Each custom field can accommodate up to 100 full-width characters (200 half-width characters)
  • Custom fields are required input. Cannot publish with empty fields

About Template Creation and Management

1 Can templates be deleted? No.
At the time of release, created templates can not be deleted.
2 Can templates be saved as drafts when creating them? Yes.
Drafts can be saved. Since auto-save is not supported, save manually.
3 Can custom fields be edited after publishing a template? No.
After publishing a template, only the template title can be edited.
4 In what order are created templates displayed? Templates are displayed in order of creation date, oldest first.
5 Can templates be automatically applied when creating manuals? No.
Templates must be selected when creating or editing manuals.
6 Can template access be restricted by user or team? No.
In folders where the template function is enabled, all editors in that folder can use templates. Access can not be restricted to specific users or teams.

About Creating and Viewing Manuals Using Templates

1 Can templates be applied to already created manuals? Yes.
Templates can be applied to manuals that have already been created and published.
2 Can templates applied to manuals be changed or deleted? Yes.
Templates can be changed and deleted.
3 What happens when viewing or editing manuals created using templates from mobile apps? At the time of release, the template function does not support mobile apps and mobile browsers.

Manuals can be viewed normally, but custom fields will not be displayed.
In mobile apps, editing is possible except for custom fields.
4 What happens when moving manuals created using templates to folders with the template function disabled? Regardless of the destination folder settings, applied templates and custom field content will be maintained.

However, editing operations will be as follows:

What can not be done in editing after folder move
・Change templates
6 Can templates be used when generating manuals with AI? No.
Templates can not be applied when generating drafts with AI.
Apply templates to generated drafts and manually input custom fields.
7 Can covers and steps with templates applied be added to other manuals using the Clipboard function? Registration to Clipboard and step creation from Clipboard are possible, but template custom fields will not be reflected.
Clipboard operations target step titles, descriptions, and images.
